Petition from 2009 Convention
After the elections at the 2009 Summer Convention, several members circulated a petition asking for clarification of our election process. Click here to read (in PDF format) the petition and response from the IPA Board of Directors.
2010 Elections
The nominations and elections policies for officers and directors will remain the same for this year, except that the board is not proposing a slate of officers. All officer positions and four director positions are up for election, with Barbara Bryan, Denise Kline, Esta Powell, Anna Puleo, and Larry Schumer remaining for the second year of their terms. Nominations for the open positions will happen only at the general membership meeting.
Absentee ballots may be sent by email to elections@primals.org or as hard copy to the IPA Secretary (1144 Halstead Road, Baltimore, MD 21234) and must be received prior to the Convention (we recommend that they be sent at least one week prior to the Convention as we cannot guarantee that late ballots will be counted). Ballots should be in the form, “I hereby vote for x for the position of y at the 2010 IPA elections,” and paper ballots should be dated and contain the voter’s printed name and signature.
